Original upload quality, no re-encoding
Vimeo is known for serving uploads at higher bitrates than YouTube — creators choose it specifically for visual fidelity. VidPickr preserves that: the MP4 you save is exactly the source variant Vimeo’s player streams, no transcoding, no quality drop.
Some uploaders post in 4K, some in 1080p high-bitrate. Whatever’s available on the page, you’ll see in the quality picker.
No Vimeo Plus required
Vimeo’s native "Download" button only appears for paid Plus / Pro accounts and only when the uploader explicitly enables it. For free accounts, the button is hidden — even on public videos that anyone can view in the browser.
VidPickr doesn’t need that toggle. If the video plays in your browser, it can be saved.
Password-protected and private videos
Public Vimeo videos work without anything special. Password-protected and unlisted-but-private videos require the password / a signed embed URL to even view them; we don’t bypass either. If you can play the video by entering the password, save the page URLafter unlocking it and paste that into VidPickr.
Subtitles when the uploader provides them
Vimeo creators can attach SRT subtitle tracks to their videos. When they do, you’ll see those tracks listed on the result page alongside the video qualities. Pick a language, get the .srt file — drop it straight into Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or your favorite editor.
